Beat Stretch-marks and Exfoliate like a Beverly Hills Pilates Mom
Anyone who knows me knows that I am a big believer in organic beauty routines. I am not talking about expensive high grade products, but natural produces such as coconut oil, lemons and baking soda as part of our daily hygiene and beauty routines. It's affordable, easy to access, and easy to travel with and it cuts down on the amount of products and bottles that are stored in the bathroom (this I am the biggest fan of). Many women stuffer from stretch marks after giving birth - some had them before but if you want a way to get rid of them, I have found a couple of solutions; Micro -needling and dry brushing. Dry brushing is best use throughout the pregnancy, when the skin is actually getting stretch -so If you have a friend who just got pregnant, be sure to pass on the news! How it works: buy a corse horse hair exfoliating brush. BEFORE you bather or shower, rub and exfoliate your skin all over your body. Rub in gentle circles, concentrating on the parts that get stretched and also the elbows, knees and what ever problem area you have. Than show and bathe as usual - this will leave your skin so smooth! Trust me, you don't have to pregnant to enjoy this tip. Try to do this two or three times a week. The second is a bit of a craze at the moment. It's called Microneedling. You can get at home kits or get it done at a spa or beauticians office. I asked a number of mothers what their stretch mark solutions are and a couple answered positively with this. Buy a roller and serum and be consistent about treatment. roll horizontally, vertically and diagonally on targeted area for about 2 minutes - and keep your roller clean! Of course, your situation will depend on your body and skin sensitivity, but I have heard mostly great things about this treatment. Microneedling is also a great way to restore the healthy glow of skin. I know that I'm interested! I just signed up for a roller myself and I cannot wait to add it to my beauty routine!
